The Legislative Advocacy Center is a quick and easy to make your voice heard. Here are a few ways the system works for you:

Take Action Online

Action Alerts enable you to take action on an issue by sending personalized communications to targeted policymakers such as the President, members of Congress, state legislators, mayors and other elected officials.

Action Alerts will be sent to your inbox from NTA Headquarters or you can click on the link above to take you to an Action Alert. After you select an alert, you will be guided through a simple process to complete your sender information. Fill out your personal information to verify that your message was sent from an individual and not generated by a computer. Click here to get started.

Use the Interactive Map to Find your Elected Official

Enter your zip code or click on your state to find out who your elected officials are. From there, you can easily select one of the listed state or congressional officials to see the full legislative biography page.

Each bio page includes direct links to contact the legislator, where you can look up his or her key votes, and find staff contact information. You'll also find a plethora of information about elected representative including office term, co-sponsorship status, contact information, party affiliation, political background, committee(s) and PAC contributions.

Stay Informed on Important Bills and Votes

Do you want to look up a piece of legislation recently mentioned in the news? Or monitor the various bills that will affect issues important to you? The Issues and Legislation section of the Web site helps you easily stay on top of current legislation for your industry.

            Track Bills and Votes: Keep track with any bill's name, summary, cosponsor(s), and key votes in addition to your organization's position on the legislation.

            See Who Supports or Opposes Your Bill: Click on the "Key Votes" link to view the current vote scorecard, broken down by each legislator's vote.
