First-Timer Program
First-timers and Veterans Welcome Here
Whether Convention '09 is your first convention or your fifteenth convention, one thing is for sure, there will be new events and business sessions that bring fresh ways of conducting business and providing a solid ROI for your business. So, when it comes to developing a first timer program this year, we started from scratch and designed a program with all attendees in mind.
NTA invites you, regardless of how seasoned you are in the industry or how many NTA conventions you have under your belt, to take part in any or all of the first-timer programs to ensure you take full advantage of your NTA membership and Convention investment.
Convention Webinar — To help you prepare for your first Convention, NTA hosted two Webinars to introduce you to all of the features of Convention '09 including:
- Researching and preparing your appointment requests
- Appointment request sessions
- Your role in the Destination Pavilion
- Working the Tour & Travel Exchange and open floor format
- Educational opportunities and social networking events

NTA Central — Once you've registered, be sure to stop by NTA Central. In this area, you'll be able to meet NTA Board and Leadership Team members who can work one-on-one with you to help you polish your Convention presentation, prepare for your appointments or just answer your questions.
Convention Center Tours — Always popular, the Convention Center Tours will help you get the lay of the land so you can map out your appointments, target your prospects and even find a place to rest your legs.
First Timer Communications — A series of first-timer oriented messages are scheduled this year to keep you abreast of deadlines and necessary actions. If you didn't mark on your registration that this is your first Convention, contact NTA Headquarters so you can receive this valuable communication.
