NTA has worked with The Berkely Group to design and customize travel insurance products that are available exclusively to NTA members located in the United States.
Two types of products are available from Berkely: an administration-free product that can be distributed to clients for purchase via mail, fax or phone, or a group product that offers more flexibility in pricing and compensation.
Benefits include the following coverages:
- Trip cancellation and interruption protection
- Option to waive the pre-existing condition exclusion
- Bankruptcy of a travel supplier (other then the NTA Tour Operator)
- Terrorism coverage
- Travel delay
- Baggage and baggage delay
- Medical and evacuation coverage
- Assistance services
Both programs offer up to 35% in compensation for each sale. Tour operators have access to Berkely's high level of service via toll-free customer service numbers used exclusively for NTA members and their clients. In addition, Berkely's automated claims handling system is the most advanced in the travel insurance business. This system enables Berkely claims personnel to turn claims around quickly, automatically follow up for any necessary information to ensure prompt resolution of outstanding claims and respond immediately to any claim status request.
