Travel Exchange
Travel Exchange provides the most significant number of volunteer opportunities for members, including seminar monitors, registration assistance, assisting first timers and convention floor tours.
Board of Directors
NTA is led by a board of 17 directors that is responsible for approving and evaluating programs and activities, planning NTA's future direction, establishing broad policies to guide the association, and setting and managing financial objectives.
Leadership Team
NTA members, appointed by the incoming chairman and CEO, form NTA's Leadership Team, which assesses current association initiatives, develops new opportunities and benefits for members, and assists the board of directors in the decision-making process by acting as the link between the general membership and the board.
Recruitment
Members can strengthen the NTA community by participating in recruitment efforts. Building the membership creates additional business opportunities for all NTA members. When an NTA member recruits a tour operator, tour supplier or a DMO that member becomes a member of the Recruitment Rewards Club. Club members receive a $25 gift card. There is no limit to the number of future members a current member can recruit.
Tourism Cares
NTA's official philanthropy was formed in 2004 by the consolidation of NTA's National Tourism Foundation and USTOA's Travelers Conservation Foundation. Tourism Cares enables NTA members to secure a positive future for travel and tourism worldwide through various programs.
Government Issues Fund
The Government Issues Fund is a mechanism for members to provide direct financial support to tour issues. GIF supports initiatives pertaining to issues education and defers the cost of travel for education events. GIF offsets administrative costs of TourPAC such as solicitations and Issues Luncheon expenses. GIF money is necessary for building support for tourism industry issues.
