| June 29, 2010: Parks Canada Parks Canada is celebrating two important milestones--the 125th anniversary of the creation of Canada's first national park (Banff National Park, Alberta) in 2010 and the 100th anniversary of the Dominion Parks Services, the first national park service in the world and now Parks Canada, in 2011.
