2005 Product Development Trip to Bavaria
NTA's sixth Product Development Trip was held Oct. 6-12, 2005, in Bavaria, Germany. Hosted by Bavaria Tourism, Munich Airport International and Beer Travel & Tours, the trip treated tour operators to six days in some of Germany's most beautiful cities.
Participants began the trip in Regensburg, a medieval wonder at the northernmost point of the Danube River. The group visited Kulmbach, the Beer Capital of Bavaria, and Coburg, home of the world famous Hummel factory and museum. Also on the itinerary were stops in Bamberg, Würzburg, Füssen, Neuschwanstein and at Lake Starnberg. The trip included site inspections of hotels, restaurants and attractions as well as a workshop where participating tour operators got to meet with local German suppliers.
