2008 American Tourism Society Fall Conference and NTA Product Development Trip to Egypt
NTA tour operators had a unique opportunity as NTA and ATS have joined forces to combine the ATS Fall Conference with an NTA Product Development Trip to Egypt. ATS waived the usual membership fee exclusively to NTA members who participated in the ATS Conference and NTA Product Development Trip.

The ATS Conference - Oct. 27- 30
The Conference consisted of three nights/four days in Cairo. Attendees stayed in a 5-star hotel, plus all Conference events and visits to the Egyptian Museum, the Pyramids and the Sphinx and Old Coptic Cairo, a welcome reception, all meals, gala dinner, transfers and educational programming all for $895 (double occupancy, $1,045 single).
The NTA Product Development Trip - Oct. 30 - Nov. 4
Following the ATS Conference, participants took part in a five night/six day NTA Product Development Trip on a 5-star ship that cruised the Nile from Luxor to Aswan. Participants visited the Philae Temple, the Ombo Temple, the Temple of Edfu, Luxor and the Valley of the Kings, and the Temple of Luxor. All meals, transfers, sightseeing, air to Aswan and Luxor to Cairo also costs $895 (double occupancy, $1,255 single).
Air Fare Rates
New York to Cairo and return on Egypt Air:
Special rate, including taxes, for first 40 attendees. $625
Registrants over the first 40: $700; Taxes: estimated $216
Business Class and First Class airfares upon request and availability.
The Total Package
Registration for both the conference and the Product Development Trip is required. Therefore, the total cost of the ATS Conference and NTA trip package, including special air rates (if you one of the first 40 to register) is $2,415 for double occupancy ($2,925 for single).
