Greece Product Development Trip
Seventeen NTA tour operators discovered Greece's tremendous beauty, warmth and hospitality April 13-20, 2008, on the Product Development Trip sponsored by CruiseClub Holidays.
The group spent several days based in Athens to visit Syntagma Square, the Plaka, the Acropolis and the Benaki Museum, and took a day trip to southern Greece to experience Mycenae, the Semeli Winery in Nemea, the ancient theater of Epidaurus and the port city of Nafplion.
The second half of the trip took place on Crete, where participants experienced delicious local cuisine in small village tavernas, toured the mountainous landscape in jeeps, visited the resort town of Aghios Nikolaos and the Venetian city of Rethymnon. The group also took in Knossos as well as the 13th-century Church of Panagia Kyra Kariotissa, known for its Byzantine frescoes and famous icon.
