The Product Development Trip portion of MONTAGE offers both pre- and post-PDT options. The pre-MONTAGE PDT takes place April 10-13 and the post-PDT will be April 18-20. Both PDTs cost of $150 per registrant  and is limited to two buyer registrants per company (no spouse/companion registration) and capacity is limited. The post-PDT is open to seller registrants at a cost of $300 per person.

PRE-MONTAGE PDT - April 10-13   *SOLD OUT*

From Saturday to Wednesday prior to the 2010 MONTAGE, this tour offers participants the chance of discover some of Spain's most important cities - Madrid, Granada and Cordoba - before arriving in Seville. Delight in these monumental sites, learn about their history and culture, about their language, arts and gastronomy. Explore their lively streets and surprising nightlife, and be seduced by these multi-faceted and greatly diverse cities. While they offer modern infrastructures, they have perfectly preserved the look and feel of many of their traditional life styles.

Attendees should plan to arrive in Madrid Saturday, April 10 in the morning. Activities begin at 3 p.m. 

 

Preliminary Itinerary

Saturday April 10 and Sunday April 11

Madrid, for many centuries a meeting point, offers a great deal of cultural, leisure and entertainment activities to please millions of people who visit it every year. As the capital of Spain, Madrid is a city of great cultural and political importance. While Madrid possesses a modern infrastructure, it has preserved the look and feel of many of its historic neighborhoods and streets.  After a walk through its historic Sevilla PDTcenter, you will visit the national Prado Museum, which features one of the world's finest collections of European art. Then you are off to the Royal Palace, the official residence of the King of Spain. Participants have free time to enjoy the city at their leisure.  During this time, you can enjoy shopping, attend a theatre play or taste Spain's traditional "tapas".

Monday, April 12

Morning transfer to Granada, once capital of a Moorish kingdom. Its royal Palace, the Alhambra, is one of the most brilliant jewels of univerwal architecture: a series of palaces and gardens built under the Nazari Dynasty in the 14th Century. This mighty compound of buildings - including the summer palace called Generalife, with its fountains and gardens - stands at the foot of Spain's highest mountain range, the Sierra Nevada, and overlooks the city below and the fertile plain of Granada. While here, attendees will explore the most important heritage of Granada: The Alhambra, one of the most visited monuments in Europe. Afterward, participants have time to visit other important sites, the Albaicin (World Heritage Site), where the city was born, and have free time for leisure, shopping and fun.

Tuesday, April 13

On the way from Granada to Seville the group stops in Cordoba for a night. Cordoba is a city with an enormous heritage of culture and monuments. Due partly to its strategic position on the River Guadalquivir and partly to the wealth of remains left by different people who inhabited the city, Cordoba has become a privileged city in the very heart of the history of the Western World: its vast Caliphal (Arabic) civilization, during the Middle Ages, was the most brilliant in the Europe of its day and forged lasting links between East and West. seville1

While here, you'll enjoy a tour of the Mosque Cathedral of Cordoba, the most significant monument in the whole of the western Moslem World and one of the most amazing buildings in the world in its own right. Participants are guided through its ancient streets and quarters, visit the tiny medieval synagogue and have free time to enjoy at their leisure. On Wednesday morning, you'll be ready to head to Seville for MONTAGE.

Post-MONTAGE PDT - April 18-20

From Sunday to Tuesday following the 2010 MONTAGE, this tour offer highlights the Western Andalucia region including Huelva, Jerez and Cadiz. Participants will be able to experience and enjoy the historical treasures that this region has to offer.

Attendees should plan departures from Seville or any other departure point no earlier than 3 p.m. on April 20.

 

Preliminary Itinerary

Sunday, April 18

After breakfast you will depart to Huelva, the most western province of Andalucía. Although in the past this area has attracted less tourism than Spain's Mediterranean coast, numerous resorts have been developed recently along its impressive, white-sand beaches offering an exquisite destination for the beach and sun tourist. It is historically closely related to the Americas as it was from here, the Monastery of La Rábida, that Columbus set sail for the first time to the Indies. Huelva holds one of the most important National Parks in Europe, the Parque Natural de Doñana, a pilgrimage for the bird watching community from worldwide. Enjoy lunch, dinner, and overnight in Huelva.

Monday, April 19

After breakfast, we'll depart and ride through the beautiful Andalusian countryside to Jerez de la Fontera, producer of Sherry wine and brandies. After a ride in Jerez, we will visit one of the famous wineries and taste its varied Sherries, from the dry to the sweeter blends. Jerez is famous for its Carthusian Horses, prized horses bred with centuries of care at its Carthusian Monastery. After lunch we take an excursion to the city of Cadiz, an industrial town and port and an important fishing center with history dating back to its Phoenician origins in 1100 BC. Enjoy lunch, dinner, and overnight in Jerez.

Tuesday, April 20

Following breakfast, we'll depart for Sevilla with a planned arrival at 12.00 (noon). Departing flights should be scheduled no earlier that 15.00 (3 p.m.).
